Project Title: RockefellerCenter.tv
Deadline for Submission: January 18, 2010
Key Concepts: The Essence of New York City, Tourism/Attraction, Entertaining Information
.tv Channel Guidelines:
RockefellerCenter.tv is a site to boost the tourism and business of Rockefeller Center in New York City. It should encompass a feel of celebrating New York City.
Do your research on Rockefeller Center; It has an observation deck, all sorts of tours, and businesses. There are innumerable events throughout the year. The tree lighting is a huge event, among the countless others. The events should all be advertised/talked up/highlighted through video.
The site will need space for advertising. Think about and suggest who might advertise on this site: nearby businesses, other tourist attractions, etc.
Shopping is a large part of Rockefeller Center. Maps are available for shopping areas. Make a navigation for shopping. Make each map one page/screen. Keep the spaces broken up and numbered, but for one space on each map choose a store and make a graphic representation of that store. Do not violate copyright laws; make up a logo for the stores you choose. Each online storefront will link to a video/coupon for that location.
The goal is to build a dot tv site for Rockefeller Center that far outdoes their current site. The main goal is to make people want to visit, to inform them of the history and current offerings, and to make the site as amazing as the spirit of New York City. Conceptually this is a site that would be refined and further developed by the Center.
