.tv Channel Guidelines

Film Festivals TV will be a site where Film Festivals from all over the world present their Festivals online. The site will change its feature according to what Festivals are happening at the time and which ones are approaching. Each festival will publish their films to the extent which they determine, in effect giving the world the opportunity to attend the festival. This site is not intended to be paparazzi/red carpet oriented and full of text and white space like many sites. It is intended to be sophisticated, sleek, progressive, and as entertaining as going to the theatre. For imagery think theatres, red carpets, directors’ chairs, movie screens, etc.

The homepage/headquarters must have a header: Film Festivals TV. Design this logo to be memorable, as the Hollywood sign is memorable. Use Flash if so desired. The homepage must have a screen in the center that is generous in size. This screen will feature rotating videos from the festivals’ backlogs. The feature screen must have a navigation link to the featured festival page. The homepage must have links/menus for the following, the order and layout of which are up to you:

• All Festivals
• Call For Entries Calendar
• Festival Calendar
• Ongoing Festivals:
• Membership
• Box Office
• Terms of Use, Site Map, and Privacy Policy text links on the bottom of every page

Key Concepts:
• All Festivals – One navigation page that can accommodate links for up to two hundred small icons (icons to be designed by festival designers). The background should be designed and sent as one file, another file should be sent with the background and a schematic of how 200 icons would work in the page.
• Call For Entries Calendar – Twelve graphically pleasing months of information. Design is up to you: one month on a page with navigation to others, three or twelve months on one page. It is all about how the design looks and works. The design must incorporate the concept that the festivals that are calling for entries can be represented by icon or logo. Send files with mock icons/logos/names that can be exchanged for the real thing.
• Festival Calendar – Figure that there may be two hundred festivals to fit on a calendar year, maybe more. Send empty schematic files in addition to the files of how the calendar will work with icons or logos.
• Membership – Design the background for Membership, which will offer information and annual all access passes to the featured festivals
• Box Office – Design the Box Office background. In the box office, users will buy tickets to films.

A CSS must be designed for each festival to have its own unique home page. They will upload their own video, images, and links to additional Information, Films and Events, Box Office, and their own homepages.
